As of December 21, 2024, KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad released an updated health bulletin on 9-year-old Sritej, who was critically injured during a stampede at Sandhya Theatre in RTC Cross Roads, Hyderabad.
The tragic incident occurred on the night of December 4 during the premiere show of the film “Pushpa 2” at Sandhya Theatre, attended by actor Allu Arjun. A massive stampede ensued, leading to the tragic death of a woman named Revathi and severe injuries to her son, Sritej.
Earlier, on December 17, doctors confirmed that Sritej suffered brain damage due to the incident. Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand stated that his recovery would take considerable time, and ongoing treatment would be essential because of the severity of the brain injury.

The latest health bulletin from KIMS doctors provides encouraging news regarding Sri Tej’s condition. According to the doctors, Sri Tej’s health is steadily improving. His fever has begun to subside, and his overall condition is showing positive signs.
The doctors confirmed that his breathing has become more stable, and the ventilator has been removed. Additionally, his white blood cell count is increasing, a key indicator of recovery.
Currently, Sri Tej is being fed through a tube, but his progress is promising, and the medical team remains optimistic about his continued recovery.
