Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain, renowned globally for his extraordinary talent and contributions to Indian classical music, breathed his last at the age of 73 due to heart-related complications. On Sunday, December 15, Hussain was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital in San Francisco after experiencing severe heart-related issues. In a statement, Hussain’s manager, Nirmala Bachani, revealed that the maestro had been battling blood pressure-related complications in addition to his heart condition. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, his health deteriorated rapidly, leading to his untimely demise.
